We collect:

  • Financial information (such as credit card or bank account numbers)
  • Any visual recordings we make, such as CCTV recordings when you’re at an Asahi site
  • Your interactions with our websites, apps and social media profiles (this may include your social media handles, IP address, location data from your device and cookies)
  • Personal Information provided in connection with the game, promotion, survey or other feature you are participating in
  • Basic information about your credit account and your credit history (including any missed or late repayments that you have made)
  • Details of any credit provided to you by other credit providers or details about information request we make about you to other credit reporting bodies
  • Any credit rating or credit assessment score that we have derived or that is provided to us by a credit reporting body
  • Details of any credit-related court proceedings or insolvency applications that relate to you

  • unable to deliver marketing materials to you

Who Do We Share Your Personal Information With?

We may give your Personal Information to:

  • our related companies;
  • our professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants) and service providers (such as marketing and PR agencies);

Depending on which stage of the recruitment process you are involved in, we may collect:

Prospective Candidates 

  • Identity information such as your name, photograph (when provided) and date of birth 
  • Contact information such as your email, home address and phone number
  • all information that you provide and submit as part of your job application (including your CV)
  • your education and career history and experience
  • Information about your right to work, immigration status, and health or disability where it is relevant to your ability or availability to work, or workplace adjustments.
  • Information generated from your participation in psychological or behavioural assessments.
  • Information collected from your referees.

Successful Candidates with a Verbal Offer 

  • Proof of working rights (for example immigration documents required under immigration laws)
  • For some roles only:
    • Pre-medical clearance documentation (via our third party provider, Bodycare)
    • Background check information (such as a police check)

Successful Candidates with a Written Offer

  • Information about your emergency contact details including their name and contact information
  • Your bank account details for payment processing
  • Your Tax File Number
  • Your Superannuation details

How We Collect Your Personal Information

Although we will generally collect Personal Information about you directly from you as specified above, we may also receive your Personal Information from:

  • Our related companies 
  • Conversations with hiring managers, recruiters and interviews including conversations with your referees
  • Basic internet searches such as on LinkedIn where you have made information about yourself publicly available.
  • Social media (where allowed by applicable law)
  • Third party recruitment technology platforms such as SeekOut, Seek, Vidcruiter, Modern Hire
  • Third party suppliers who assist with medical checks, criminal checks, psychological testing such as Vevo, Bodycare, Equifax, ExRef and Criteria

Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Your Personal Information

We collect, use and disclose your Personal Information when you either apply for a job with us or join the Asahi Beverages talent pool to:

  • Allow you to create an online profile on the Asahi careers portal 
  • Assess your application or suitability for a job where you have applied for a role
  • Manage your application and undertake pre-hire and onboarding activities 
  • Communicate with you in relation to your application 
  • Communicate with you from time to time regarding new career opportunities and job openings that may become available. You can customise your preferences, and request to delete your profile by contacting us. 

In some circumstances, we may also collect, use and disclose your Personal Information:

  • to respond to any complaints you make or feedback you give, or as part of any legal action involving us; or 
  • if we're required to do so by a law, court/tribunal order or regulatory authority; or 
  • to train, test or otherwise improve AI models, AI systems or machine learning algorithms (including any architectures, models, or weights) used by us or our service providers and contractors.

Personal Information Required by Law

We're required by some laws to collect some types of Personal Information from you such as taxation law and immigration law to administer your employment, salary and superannuation.

We may also need to collect your information if we are legally required to do so, such as complying with our liquor licensing requirements and our work health and safety requirements, if applicable. 

What Happens If You Don't Give Us Personal Information We Ask For

If you don't give us Personal Information about yourself when we ask, we will be unable to assess your suitability for the job you have applied for or unable to proceed with your job application  

Who Do We Share Your Personal Information With?

We may give your Personal Information to:

  • Our related companies
  • Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations or as required by or authorised by law
  • Our third party service providers to the extent necessary for them to provide services to us, including:
    • Bodycare – including your name and contact details for booking medical appointments.
    • Equifax – including your name, contact details and consent for police background checks
    • XREF and Modern Hire – including your name and contact details for reference checks
    • Vevo including your passport details, name, citizenship, and resident country for purposes of confirming working rights
    • Criteria – including your name and email address for psychometric test to be sent to you

Some of these recipients may be located overseas or may store your Personal Information outside of Australia or New Zealand (as the case may be), including in the United Kingdom, Japan, Netherlands and India. More details about the location of these recipients is in our Privacy Policy.

You can ensure your contact details remain accurate in the Asahi careers portal by accessing the ”settings” tab. You are able to access and make changes to your information in the Asahi careers portal. If you are not able to access or change your information, please contact us.  We will retain your Personal Information in the Asahi Careers portal for a period of 18 months from when you provided such information, unless you request to remove your profile from the portal.  

We review our Privacy Policy annually and update it from time to time.
